What lies beneath

Just as a building needs to be constructed on a solid foundation, a well dressed woman needs to build her foundation for great style. A specific set of great looking and functional under garments will give her confidence and have her clothes fit smoothly and beautifully on her body.

Visible panty lines, an ill fitting bra, and a multitude of other underwear faux pas hold little visual appeal and can easily be avoided with the correct under garments.

Having dressed thousands of women of all sizes and shapes I find myself constantly coming back to a practical set of bras and body smoothers that serve every purpose, look sexy and are great confidence builders.

These garments can be found at any price point from TJ Max to Neiman’s and my suggestion would be to invest in at least two of each, one set in nude and another in black.

Underwear Must Haves:

The every day bra – This is your most comfortable bra.  It could be anything from a minimizer or a push up bra.  The key elements is that is fits well and does not create back fat or cut into your shoulders.

The strapless bra  – These bras always come with straps but can be worn without and are very useful for spaghetti strap tops.

A camisole smoother – This could be worn in place of a bra and smooths out excess weight around the mid section giving the illusion of weight loss. Hurrrah!.

Bicycle pant body smoother – This looks like the pants that cyclists wear and works well for pants and skirts.

Full body slip smoother for dresses and skirts – Great for dresses and skirts and smooths out the entire body with a built in bra.

A half slip smoother –  If your issues are only below the waist then you may only need a half slip.

Underwear smoother – Don’t just settle for regular underwear when you can wear underwear that pulls in the tummy.

Tomorrow morning when you get dressed take an extra minute to look at yourself in a full length mirror checking your front and rear appearance to confirm that you are a Perfect 10.  Enjoy your day and please, what ever you do, do it with style.

5 Underwear Faux Pas to Avoid:

  1. Visible panty lines.
  2. An ill fitting bra.
  3. Dark underwear under light clothing.
  4. Thong underwear on display.
  5. Bra Straps.
